Road Trippin and Baseball

Now that baseball season is in full swing, our team decided to play a tournament in sunny Arizona. It's always nice to get out of the Colorado cold and warm up for a weekend. So the husband and I loaded up the cars (yes, I said cars due to the fact that 2 adult, 4 kids and 10 large baseball bags wouldn't fit in one car) and took off for some fun in Phoenix.

It was a long 12 hours in the car but everyone survived and we were super happy to jump into the pool before playing some ball.

About playing ball....Arizona is a tough tournament. The other teams are usually kids that look like they should be in high school, shaving and on their way to obtaining a drivers license. But other than that, they have also had some nice weather to practice in and start their season a little earlier than March. March in Colorado is still very iffy as we all know. One day it's 70 and the next it's snowing. This makes for some difficult practicing outside. So needless to say our team still needs some work. And to top it all off our own son couldn't even play the whole weekend due to his elbow injury! What a bummer. The Titans may not have won a game but they had some fun, got to play some ball without freezing to death and learned some valuable lessons. All in all it was a great weekend.

Because they didn't get enough baseball in 3 days they managed to squeeze in a spring training game.....and it was a little toasty. They didn't expect it to be so hot!

All in all it was a great weekend hanging out, catching some sun (and maybe a little bit of a tan) and creating memories with our kids. Until next year AZ!
