This past weekend I had the opportunity to volunteer my time for a great cause. This is my second year taking photos for their event and I always have a ton of fun. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Each year The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aurora Aerie #3224 host multiple fundraising events, with their largest being a motorcycle run to raise money and awareness in the fight against Diabetes. Their motto is "people helping people"
For the past 17 years local bikers and other Eagle Chapters gather to participate in breakfast, lunch and a run that stops at multiple locations in the Denver Metro area, ending the day back at their own chapter with laughter, fun, silent and not so silent auctions and a live band. Without these wonderful people donating their generous time and money, this event would never be a success. After months of planning and coordinating they pull it off with a huge donation to Children's Hospital Colorado. This year alone, they were able to donate almost $15,000!!! How awesome is that?!
I love that they have invited me to be part of it for the past two years and I'm looking forward to many more.
