I've had the opportunity to take part in a police K9 photo shoot last year for Mr. December! Our very own (meaning my husbands dog) Deuce was featured in the 2018 Vested interest in K9s calendar. Now, I've had a second opportunity to shoot another beautiful dog who has received his donation.
Meet K9 Blitz, a two-year-old German Shepherd certified in Narcotics Detection, Tracking and Handler Protection. He is the newest member of the Colorado Rangers, who have started a brand new K9 program; the first in the 157-year history of the Department. He and his handler will help support 58 law enforcement agencies and governments throughout Colorado, assisting with building and vehicle searches, and tracking suspects.
Due to the dangerous nature of his work, he has received his bullet and stab proof vest, thanks to Vested Interest in K9s Inc. A non for profit dedicated to keeping our working dogs safe in the line of duty. Since 2009 they have been able to provide 2800 vests in all 50 states. AMAZING!
